Puppets Red III

Puppets Red III is a Site-Specific Work and the 3rd part of series of interdisciplinary installations implemented in various parts of the world. The 1st part was premiered outside of Cameron Art Museum in Wilmington, NC USA, the 2nd part at Jungmann Square in Prague, Czech Republic as part of the “Street Stories” for Prague Quadrennial 2011, and the 3rd part at Schiffbauergasse in Berlin, Germany as a part of STADT FÜR EINE NACHT.

Challenge

Each location introduces new technical limitations, new obstacles, new human dynamics and new problems to solve. The images below are from the tech rehearsals in Berlin. The performance location, T-Werk courtyard, was extremely large (we used the entire space) with very limited electric power and lighting instruments. We had only two days to rehears with lights and projections, which we had to wait until dark to execute the cues. One of the two nights was sabotaged by an extreme rainstorm!
